NOLA Marketing in Action

How NOLA Marketing Helped Single Point of Contact Become the Most-Cited Voice in AI Search

Single Point of Contact (SPOC) gives managed service providers a way to offer enterprise-grade help desk, security operations center (SOC), and IT support without building that infrastructure in-house. For years, SPOC had done well with SEO, building steady organic search traffic through consistent, well-optimized content. But as more of its buyers started asking ChatGPT, Copilot, and Google AI Overviews for recommendations instead of typing a search query, SPOC's leadership began looking for a way to make sure their search visibility did not get left behind by this new channel.

Watching a New Search Channel Take Shape

Fernando Leon, Vice President of Sales/Marketing at Single Point of Contact, had been tracking the shift for months. “We were doing well with SEO, and we weren’t about to walk away from that,” said Fernando. “But we could see AI search picking up fast, and if we weren’t showing up when someone asked an AI engine who to trust for white-label IT and security services, we were going to become invisible to exactly the buyers we wanted.”

SPOC wanted to add answer engine optimization (AEO) to its search strategy, and they knew exactly who they wanted to help them do it.

A Partner They Already Trusted

SPOC had worked with NOLA Marketing before, relying on the agency to build sales tools and web copy. “Every time we brought NOLA in, the work came back better than what we asked for,” said Fernando. “So, when we started thinking seriously about AEO, NOLA was the first call, not one of three or four agencies we were comparing.”

What sealed the decision, Fernando said, was learning that NOLA had piloted its AEO methodology on its own website before ever offering it as a service. “They’d already proven it on themselves, not just in a slide deck,” Fernando explained. “That told us this wasn’t a pitch. It was something they’d tested and knew worked. We wanted those same results for our own site.”

Results That Outpaced the Expectations

NOLA built new resource center hubs around the SPOC’s core service categories. It created content that posed and answered direct, specific questions buyers were already asking AI engines about white-label IT, help desk, and SOC services, then tracked the results every month using Otterly.ai.

The AEO results came quickly. In the first month, AI mentions of SPOC climbed 183%. By June, mentions were up 433% from where the program started in April, and SPOC held the #1 mention rank in its category every single month.

Citations grew even faster. SPOC’s citation count rose 90% in the first month and 444% over the three months, while its citation rank climbed from 3rd to 1st place. Roughly 73% of SPOC’s June citations, 2,657 of 3,617, came from new question-and-answer content NOLA built specifically for the AEO program in SPOC’s resource center.

The AI visibility translated directly into pipeline. Inbound leads rose 30% after the program launched.

“We knew AEO could help, but we didn’t expect to see numbers like this, this fast,” said Fernando. “Going from 3rd to 1st in citation rank in three months, while still holding the #1 mention spot the whole time, is not what I expected when we signed off on this.”

Quality, Speed, and What Comes Next

Fernando said the results were only part of what impressed the SPOC team. “We’ve worked with NOLA on sales tools and web copy before, so we knew the writing would be good,” Fernando continued. “What surprised me was how fast they turned all of it around without sacrificing quality. The content didn’t just perform for AI engines. It read well for actual buyers too.”

“This exceeded what we expected going in, on quality, on speed, and on the results themselves,” Fernando concluded. “We’re already talking to NOLA about where to take the AEO program next.”
